After a rather inconsistent show in the 1stround to the Super League and at this juncture and turn of event, the match against PKNS is deemed critical and a yardstick to all the following matches in the 2ndround.
Bojan Hodak took centre stage and whence asked of the team preparedness and approach in particularly for the match against PKNS;
"We need to win. Simple. If we want to be at the top, we must win. Other teams are getting 3 points regularly, we only have draws regularly lately. PKNS is a hard team to beat, they have good defense. For JDT, we need to change our game and we need to start winning. Full stop".
To the prospects of Aidil and Bhaihakki playing against PKNS and their current fitness level;
"They were present and trained on field. Being able to train and being match fit is 2 different story. We will see".
On the post-mortem to midfield department;
"The last few matches we passed the ball around too much and not penetrating at all, honestly the opponent's (PKNS) defence is heavily guarded, if we want to score, we must find a way. For Pablo Aimar in particular, he did well in training. I shall meet him and discuss whether he is ready to play. In regards to Safee Sali, all players are putting extra effort in order to play, everybody will have their equal chance. And regarding the stirrup of Amirul Hadi going to Pahang, he is here to stay".
On his personal opinion to PKNS strength;
They don't play nice football, or is it they are a hardworking team? They do have their own style and its not an easy task to beat them. Their foreign players are very dangerous upfront and in their counter attacks. Their locals too. It'll be a different tactical approach for JDT. Definitely we need to score and do it right this time.
Would it be a defensive or an offensive match?
"When we invest lots of money, definitely we are to play attacking, regardless we need to collect points".
Safee Sali
Whence asked about the team's preparation to play against PKNS tomorrow;
"The team has made some drastic changes in the preparations against PKNS. For the sake of winning, we have to do what's best. "
Position in the starting line-up;
"I've really worked hard in training. There is tough competition in the attacking department and anyone who is in the best form should be given priority to play ".
On his opinion to the second round and his hopes;
"The first round is rather disappointing and differs from my personal target, we have to make a winning headstart".
